‘Animate and Inanimate dialogue’ 2023. Performance

The performance explores the intuitive dialogue between different notions of ‘live’ forms, focusing on the body as a storage of memory. The work relates to the larger research frame my work focuses on which is how the body in the diaspora functions in a literal or rather symbolic way, in relation to specific signed materials.

The blind fold creates a space of in betweeness that the mind enters to translate bodily stored memory into tangible movements and objects.
